Susan M. Euteneuer

General Counsel | Chief Civil Counsel to Attorneys On Retainer Clients

Practice Limited to Self-Defense Cases

Susan Euteneuer serves as General Counsel for Attorneys For Freedom and Chief Civil Counsel to Attorneys On Retainer clients nationwide.

Susan defends AOR clients facing civil claims arising from covered self-defense incidents. Even when criminal charges are not filed, or a client is acquitted in criminal court, civil lawsuits can still follow. Susan coordinates and leads the civil defense strategy, working alongside local counsel, experts, investigators, and the criminal defense team to protect AOR clients.

After the 24/7 Strike Force call, she works closely with the criminal defense team, so she understands the facts, criminal defense strategy, expert analysis, and potential civil exposure long before any lawsuit is filed.

Susan is committed to protecting the rights, freedom, and legal interests of AOR clients. She brings decades of experience from both law firm practice and senior in-house legal roles involving complex disputes, high-stakes litigation, and multi-state matters.

Susan was also instrumental in the formation of The Attorneys On Retainer Association and AOR’s 50-state Risk Retention Group structure. In her role as General Counsel, she continues to collaborate on legal, operational, and strategic matters across the organization.

In my 2nd year of being a member with AOR. I appreciate knowing they would be there for me if I need them, without looking for exclusion reasons to not do their promise. Thanks AOR!

I love AOR and glad to be a member and affiliate. I hope I never have to use them but it gives me a peace of mind knowing if I ever do, they got my back. Big Thank You to Mr. Belcher. I ran a flyer idea by them due to me being a freedom affiliate and not having a hug following to be an armed affiliate. He informed me that goes against the guidelines and I immediately apologized and assured him I wouldn’t be using them flyer and deleted it from my device. He said he loved my enthusiasm for AOR and he will get with his business development team and brainstorm how they can support me and my individual needs as a freedom affiliate. Fingers crossed he can make something happen but if not, im still proud to be a member.
