Attorney Marc J. Victor Interviewed about Fort Lauderdale Airport shooting suspect Esteban Santiago
Esteban Santiago allegedly opened fire in a baggage claim area after retrieving a handgun from his checked luggage in the airport’s second Terminal.
Officials said it is still unclear why the shooter picked the Fort Lauderdale airport and what his motivation was to attack.
Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel appeared Sunday morning on the Local 10 News show “This Week In South Florida” to speak about the shooting.
He said Santiago told investigators that a chip was placed in his head by an agency.
“The CIA or some agency had put a chip in his head and they were programming him and they forced him to watch a video on ISIS, and that changed and (he) said he was paid a certain amount of money by ISIS an hour or two later, so at this point we really don’t know,” Israel said.
Attorney Marc J. Victor who represented Dr. Peter Steinmetz, who was arrested at Sky Harbor Airport for carrying his AR-15 Rifle peacefully and who was later cleared of all charges was interviewed about the shooting.
“There’s no problem with peaceful, competent people carrying firearms anywhere,” said Victor.
“That’s the way you stop the bad guy with a gun, with a good guy with a gun” Victor added.
I especially want to thank Joey Hamby, who took the lead on my case. Joey was sharp, down-to-earth, and always made sure I understood what was going on. He gave me real peace of mind during a stressful time, and I always felt like I was in good hands.
I also want to thank Tory Stewart for her work behind the scenes—her support made a real difference and didn’t go unnoticed.
If you’re ever in a situation where you need strong legal support from people who care, I can’t recommend the Attorneys for Freedom team enough. They really live up to their name.
Thank You Lia.
