HOW MUCH DOES A CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY COST?

How much does a criminal defense attorney cost? Because no two cases are alike, that is not an easy question to answer. There are misdemeanors and felonies, and there are many different varieties of both. Obviously, a felony case will be very different than a misdemeanor case and involve more expense. It would be impossible for me to give you a price for representation without first sitting down with you and carefully reviewing the facts in your case. This is why we do not offer “free consultations” at my law firm. A “free consultation” is really nothing more than a sales pitch from an attorney to try and convince you to hire them. Most of these “free consultations” are only about 15-minutes long. This is not enough time to review the facts in your case and offer an effective strategy. Attorneys are very aware that it is not possible to give comprehensive legal advice in just a few minutes that are allotted in a “free consultation” which is why they spend that time pitching you on their firm instead. In most cases, you would need to hire them before you are given any useful advice.

You should also be very leery of an attorney who would quote you a price over the phone without listening to all the facts in your case. At my firm, we do not quote fees over the phone because of the many different factors that could be involved. Not only are there many different factors, but people have different needs and goals, not everyone is looking for the same outcome. You are purchasing two things when you hire an attorney, time, and judgment. It would be impossible to provide time and judgment in just a few minutes allotted in a “free consultation.” That’s why we custom tailor our fees based on each individual client. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. If you paid nothing, you should not expect that you would receive much more than what you paid.

At my law firm, we offer a 1-hour Strategy Session, not a consultation. We invest the time needed to review the facts, listen to your concerns and then come up with the best possible approach in your case. Instead of sitting through a sales pitch and wasting your time, you get real information you can use. At my law firm, we will not waste your time.

If you are looking for real solutions to your legal problems, don’t waste your time listening to a 15-minute sales pitch, instead, call my office and schedule a 1-hour Strategy Session with an experienced attorney.
