Mr. White was stopped will driving a van with 600 pounds of marijuana. Attorney Marc J. Victor represented Mr. White at sentencing where he made the argument that Mr. White was really only guilty of operating without a license since many people drive large amounts of marijuana around every day while delivering to dispensaries.

The widow of an unarmed man shot and killed by a Mesa police officer filed a wrongful death suit against the Mesa Police Department. The Attorneys for Freedom Law Firm in Chandler, Arizona filed the lawsuit on behalf of Laney Sweet, the widow of Daniel Shaver who was killed on January 18, 2016.

Ingram’s attorney Marc Victor filed a motion to dismiss the charge and says this is a first amendment issue. Victor says there are times when certain words aren’t protected but that’s not in Ingram’s case.

The first line of one of the messages begins, “This is ridiculous just like you.” Lihosit reads the phrase and Officer Carroll misunderstands and thinks Lihosit is saying that to him. After it’s explained that Lihosit is just reading the message, Carroll said “I was going to say. I was about to punch him in the face.”
