Federal laws addressing child pornography are:

(Production of child pornography)
- 18 U.S.C. § 2251A– Selling and Buying of Children
- 18 U.S.C. § 2252– Certain activities relating to material involving the sexual exploitation of minors (Possession, distribution and receipt of child pornography)
- 18 U.S.C. § 2252A– Certain activities relating to material constituting or containing child pornography
- 18 U.S.C. § 2260– Production of sexually explicit depictions of a minor for importation into the United States
Crimes involving child pornography are among the most serious crimes. Because of the nature of the crime the mere allegation is enough to evoke strong public emotions. The presumption of innocence is almost always overlooked in these cases as they take on a “witch hunt” like status. Unfortunately, these types of cases usually get tried in the court of “public opinion” and are judged long before the first bit of evidence is even heard. The stigma that is associated with these cases can remain, even if the person is later found to be innocent. – Child Pornography Attorney
People who are charged, or under investigation, for possessing, receiving, or distributing child pornography are often deeply embarrassed by their situation. It is incredibly difficult to have this very private part of you so publicly exposed. Don’t trust your freedom to just any criminal defense attorney. If you have been charged with a crime involving child pornography contact the law firm of Marc J. Victor P.C. I am an Arizona State Bar Certified Specialist in Criminal Law who has represented hundreds of people who have been charged with sex crimes.
As with all other criminal investigations, it is important to remember the presumption of innocence as well as the fact that we do not have all the information. Simply because the former director of the #JaredFoundationis being charged with very serious criminal charges involving #childpornography does not mean Mr. Fogle is involved in any way. The search of his home may have been to investigate for evidence relating to the former director’s activities. On the other hand, if I were #Jared, I would be seeking the services of the best criminal defense attorney I could afford. Unlike other criminal charges, child pornography related charges sometimes seem to take on an almost “witch hunt” like feel as the mere allegation generally evokes strong emotions and even hatred for the accused. Let’s wait and see what develops. – Attorney Marc J. Victor
