Note: with the passage of Proposition 200, if the conviction is a first or second (non-violent) offense for the possession or use of drug paraphernalia, you can only be sentenced to probation, instead of jail or prison. However, if you violate probation, you can be taken into custody and spend up to several weeks in jail until your probation is reinstated.

You should never travel with drugs or drug paraphernalia in your vehicle. Many times, police officers will stop someone for a simple traffic violation and notice drug paraphernalia in plain sight, this could lead to a class 6 felony charge of Possession or Use of Drug Paraphernalia.
