Tour buses are convenient modes of transportation for schools, tourists, and other large groups of people who are needing to get from one destination to the next. Unfortunately, when buses such as those used for touring aren’t properly maintained or experience a mishap along the trip; passengers become more at risk of becoming injured.

In a recent bus accident that occurred just a few months back in Western Arizona, two passengers had to be airlifted to a hospital in the Phoenix area, two were transported to a hospital in Parker, and four individuals were transported to a hospital in Blythe, CA for treatment, according to AZ Central. Apparently, one of the front tires on the bus failed which also caused the bus driver to lose control. As a result, the bus traveled up an embankment and into the westbound lanes. The driver of the bus was partially ejected and did not survive the crash.

The bus involved in the accident was affiliated with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps; which is a musical performance group based out of Illinois. While it wasn’t reported whether the bus received maintenance recently to ensure the tires were fully inflated and prepared to handle a road trip. This could very well be one of the reasons why the accident occurred.
